hesis or dissertations are two terms that we can use interchangeably. It refers to an extended piece of writing that ask students to complete tasks of varying nature at the very second step. Some writing tasks require you to descriptively explain why you are writing on a particular topic, and others ask you to graphically explain the crux of your research. Still, in some places, critical evaluation of the fact, analytical reasoning to support your choice, and assembling widely scattered pieces of information together are the main tasks to complete.
